New Zealand now has six medicines to prevent the most severe and life-threatening Covid-19 symptoms

Health Minister Andrew Little was in Auckland today to see the first shipment of Molnupiravir .

It's our second oral anti-viral medicine - and will be available through prescription from early May.

Four medicines are already used in hospitals and another anti-viral has been in use for home treatment this month.
