    Hospitality wages have surpassed the living wage rate

    Hospitality wages have surpassed the living wage rate


    Hospitality New Zealand's remuneration survey has shown that the average hourly rate has risen by 8.9 percent since last year.

    The average hourly wage in the sector is up 2 dollars to 24 dollars-43 cents, which is well above the minimum wage.

    The new living wage rate of 23 dollars-65 cents kicks in from September.
