Restaurant Association's latest report reveals the sector increased 5.8 percent for the year ending March 2024.
76 percent of businesses reported worse profits compared to the same period last year.
For Auckland, sales revenue dropped by 0.7 percent over the latest quarter.
CEO Marisa Bidois , says they're looking ahead.
She says warmer weather, interest rate adjustments and cooling inflation should help.
