A push to see more disabled people relieved of having to re-prove their impairment for financial support

A push to see more disabled people relieved of having to re-prove their impairment for financial support

Supported Living Payment recipients are required every two years to provide updated medical information indicating their ability to work.

Work and Income say criteria for permanent disability exemptions include total blindness, terminal illness, and severe intellectual impairments.

However recipient Byron says this doesn't cover everyone who need exemptions, such as some neuro-diverse people.

He says it's wrong they aren't included, when neuro-diversity can't be cured.
