A clinical psychologist says New Zealand's first coronavirus-linked death will be a wake-up call for some people

A clinical psychologist says New Zealand's first coronavirus-linked death will be a wake-up call for some people

A woman in her 70s died on the West Coast over the weekend.

There are now 514 confirmed and probable cases of Covid-19 in New Zealand.

Victoria University's Dr Dougal Sutherland says the death will make some people realise the virus really is in New Zealand.

He says people wouldn't have guessed the first death would be in small town New Zealand.
