The trial of alleged serial rapist John Muchirahondo is expected to wrap up this week

The trial of alleged serial rapist John Muchirahondo is expected to wrap up this week

The 38-year-old's pleaded not guilty to 22 charges of rape, nine of sexual violation, and one of failing to assist police.

The charges relate to 15 women allegedly assaulted between 2009 and 2021 in Christchurch and Auckland.

The High Court has heard he met some of the women at bars or parties, and several are ex-partners.

The Crown says Muchirahondo helped himself to women's bodies without consent on each occasion.
