Three people have been arrested - over the largest cocaine shipment to reach New Zealand

Three people have been arrested - over the largest cocaine shipment to reach New Zealand

A boat from Ecuador carried 725 kilograms of coke into the Port of Tauranga - in early 2022.

It's worth more than 250-million-dollars on the street today.

Police and Customs arrested two men aged 27 and 35, and a woman aged 41 - after a recent breakthrough in the investigation.

All three are due back in Tauranga District Court next week, on charges relating to importing cocaine, and involvement in an organised crime group.
