A man has died in custody at Mount Eden prison today - with NO indication the death is suspicious

Corrections say staff made every effort to save the man, but were sadly unable to revive him.

It confirms others in the unit and staff are being supported

All prison deaths are subject to a review and independent investigation - and are referred to the Coroner.
