Two people arrested in Te Awamutu after a death overnight - have been let go

Police and St John called to a disorder incident on Te Rahu Road just before midnight - found a man unconscious, who later died.

Charges were considered for a 27-year-old-man and 35-year-old woman found at the scene, but they've since released.

Police say they aren't seeking anyone in relation to the death - but still want speak to any witnesses.

A post-mortem examination will be done on Friday and Police expect this will inform next steps.
