Lucy Letby's defence lawyer says there's now overwhelming evidence she was wrongly convicted

Lucy Letby's defence lawyer says there's now overwhelming evidence she was wrongly convicted

A panel of medical experts claims to have found no evidence of murder when reviewing the UK nurse's case.

The 35-year-old's serving 15 whole-life prison terms after being convicted of murdering seven babies and attempting to kill another seven.

She's twice been refused permission to appeal against her convictions.

Letby's barrister, Mark McDonald told Sky News every miscarriage of justice started with a guilty verdict, and being turned down by the Court of Appeal.

He says it will be relied upon by the Crown Prosecution Service - but it doesn't rebut the evidence they now have.
