    David Tamihere's original double murder conviction has been laid out in the Supreme Court today, as he makes a last attempt to clear his name


    Tamihere was imprisoned for almost 20 years for killing young Swedish tourists Urban Hoglin and Heidi Paakkonen in 1989.

    Lawyer Murray Gibson says their claims are on fair trial grounds, with seven breaches.

    The Herald's Jaime Lyth says the defence detailed aspects of the Crown case it believes have fallen over, due to perjury or statements being false.
