An office worker, sacked just 15 days into the job, has been awarded more than 30-thousand dollars

The Employment Relations Authority has ruled Auckland cleaning business - Steam N Dry - failed to provide the correct notice period to dismiss one of its staff.
Officials noted other failings in their decision, such as pay-slip discrepancies, missing KiwiSaver contributions or holiday pay, and absent documentation.
Authority Member Rachel Larmer says the company breached fairness standards, and failed to act in good faith.
