Former Barcelona football defender Dani Alves has won his appeal against a sexual assault conviction

Former Barcelona football defender Dani Alves has won his appeal against a sexual assault conviction

A Spanish court has overturned the ruling after the Brazilian was found guilty of raping a woman in a nightclub in 2022, getting sentenced to four and a half years in prison.

The court's determined there was "insufficient evidence" to rule out Alves' presumption of innocence.
