An Auckland man's facing at least 18 charges - accused of a North Shore burglary spree

Businesses and commuters have allegedly been targeted in recent months, including a defibrillator worth thousands being taken from a Takapuna business.

Park and Ride scooters were also stolen in Constellation and Sunnynook.

Police say the man was caught after staff pieced together a series of burglaries and shoplifting offences.

The 42-year-old first appeared in court late May and will reappear this month.
