A woman has been charged in relation to a Napier teen's death last month - the second person accused of interfering with the homicide investigation

Kaea Karauria died in a fight on May 11.

Detective Inspector Dave De Lange says a 21-year-old woman instructed another person to destroy evidence that day.

She's been charged with willfully attempting to pervert the course of justice and will appear in the District Court next week.

A teenage girl faces the same charge - accused of threatening a witness.
