Some Aucklanders are struggling with patchy phone and internet service -- after a cable was cut by mistake

Some Aucklanders are struggling with patchy phone and internet service -- after a cable was cut by mistake

One of Chorus' key fibre line's been cut between Glenfield and Mount Albert, causing outages across central and south Auckland.

A Vodafone spokesperson says more than 500 customers were hit by the outage just after 1pm -- with services expected to be restored by 7pm.

Some Spark and 2degrees customers are also left with dead air.
