One of the latest men charged over allegations of historical child sex abuse at Auckland's Dilworth School has pleaded guilty, and can now be named

Johnathan Stephens has pleaded guilty to two charges of indecent assault on a boy under the age of 16, during an appearance via audio visual link at Auckland District Court this morning.

The 73-year-old sat next to his lawyer, as his lawyer entered the pleas, and did not speak throughout the proceeding.

Stephens' interim name suppression has now lapsed, and he'll be sentenced on January 26.

He's the 11th man to be accused of historical child abuse at the Auckland school.
