Secondary teachers are optimistic the Government will pull through, even though the latest pay offer has been rejected.

Teachers are planning partial strike action - not teaching Year 12 and 13 on Monday, Year 11 on Tuesday, Year 10 on Wednesday, and Year 9 on Thursday.

PPTA President Chris Abercrombie says they have to be hopeful for the future.

He says everyone wants Kiwi kids to have the best education, and o believes the Government will work with teachers, to make that happen.
