Nervous high school students are being reminded to put mental health before their grades

Nervous high school students are being reminded to put mental health before their grades

More than 140-thousand students will be logging in this morning to find out their NCEA results.

Inspiration Education general manager William Guzzo says mental health is essential to improve, reflect and move forward.

His advice comes after a report into the death of a 17-year-old boy in 2016, who died by suicide the day after receiving his results.

Guzzo says students need to remember grades aren't a reflection of intellect or value as a human being.
