    Claims tertiary student support didn't come soon enough


    The Government today announced a 20 million dollar boost to help tertiary learners gain digital devices and internet connections.

    It's estimated around 18 thousand students haven't had the resources to study remotely.

    Otago Polytechnic Learning Leader Matt Thompson says it's created a divide.

    He says he recently found out half of their carpentry students didn't have a laptop or desk top in a time when they definitely needed it.
