    A call for more urgency to get compulsory te reo Maori in schools


    The Race Relations Commissioner wants to see a five-year strategy for it to be incorporated as a core subject.

    Meng Foon says while the Government is working to strengthen Maori education...the strategy lacks teeth in terms of tangible and urgent action.

    He says it's time for our leaders to be looking forward, for our future generations.
