A Christchurch student has been excluded from school - and is facing several charges after assaulting two teachers with a pair of scissors

A Christchurch student has been excluded from school - and is facing several charges after assaulting two teachers with a pair of scissors

The attack involved a Year 9 student at the school last Wednesday.

They were initially suspended before Tuesday's disciplinary hearing with the Board.

The school's principal says the Board found the student's behaviour was harmful and a dangerous example to other students.

They say the student is required to attend another school - because they're under the age of 16.

Police say the student will appear in Youth Court next month.
