Auckland's annual Polyfest is wrapping up today, 50 years after it first started

Auckland's annual Polyfest is wrapping up today, 50 years after it first started

Eleven-thousand students have been performing across six stages at Manukau Sports Bowl since Wednesday.

This year's festival has showcased diverse cultures to 75 thousand people, from Maori and Pasifika to Chinese, Indian and Korean performances.

Polyfest Festival Director Seiuli Terri Leo-Mauu says it's a reflection of our country.

She says Auckland and Aotearoa are very diverse and organisers want Asian and European groups to feel like they belong to Polyfest as well.
