Workers are shovelling snow off Queenstown airport's runway - and no planes are flying

Workers are shovelling snow off Queenstown airport's runway - and no planes are flying

Five centimetres of snow has since this morning, disrupting air travel on the first day of the school holidays

Airport Operations and Safety manager Mike Clay says passengers will need to be patient - as they clear snow from the runways and roads to the terminal.

Clay says flights are expected to start again mid-afternoon.
