A big day for transport in the capital

A big day for transport in the capital

The long awaited Airport Express bus service has begun.

Buses will run between Wellington Railway Station and the airport seven days a week.

It comes after years of the capital being without a public transport service to the airport.

Greater Wellington Transport Committee Chair Roger Blakeley says it's an important project.

He says people have been really wanting to get the service established again ... so they're delighted they can deliver that.
