    Pet owners are being urged to take steps to prevent pet allergies


    The warmer months cause significant discomfort to many cats and dogs - and can rack up serious vet bills.

    PD Insurance chief operating officer, Michelle Le Long says allergies were their number one claim type last year.

    She says grass seeds in dogs' paws and eyes can cause bad infections, so it's worth keeping track of what your pet is doing during allergy season.
