    Auckland Airport plans to cater for up to 38 million passengers a year, by 2047

    It's released an updated future master plan spanning more than 20 years - which includes terminal integration, a second runway and a mass rapid transport corridor.

    The runway build's been pushed out at least a decade, to 2038.

    Aviation expert Irene King says Auckland Airport is good at thinking ahead - and long term planning and infrastructure development.
