Police have instructed over 300 constables to take their missed swimming assessment

Police have instructed over 300 constables to take their missed swimming assessment

Earlier this year it was revealed almost 150 were not assessed, despite this being expected as part of police college training.

Police have now confirmed, a further three wings have missed their assessments since the start of the new 20-week curriculum in January 2024.

Commissioner Richard Chambers, says he's disappointed the process was not followed consistently - and all 349 constables must complete this within four months.
