The Finance Minister's says a supermarket 'price freeze' on many items as a nice gesture

Countdown... New World and Pak' n Save have all committed to not lift prices on hundreds of items, for a set period.

But Grant Robertson says their owners should go even further.

He says they have made some gesture trying to make some food products more affordable... but it's not sufficient.

He says there is a lot more that could be done to in terms of reforming the supermarket sector.
