Police say 27 New Zealand-based people have reported allegations of sexual abuse within the fundamentalist Christian church, Two by Twos -- prompting several criminal investigations

Police say 27 New Zealand-based people have reported allegations of sexual abuse within the fundamentalist Christian church, Two by Twos -- prompting several criminal investigations

Last year, the FBI launched a global investigation after former members alleged sexual abuse - and in February New Zealand police became involved.

Detective Inspector Warwick McKee says of the 27 who were identified to contact, 10 had already reported possible offending, with offenders in two of those cases already convicted.

    McKee says investigations are ongoing.

National MP Hamish Campbell's confirmed he was a member of the church, and says he has no personal knowledge of any abuse allegations.
