Josh Duhamel would love to have a daughter

The 52-year-old actor is a proud dad to two sons - Axl, 12, who he has with ex-wife Fergie, and 19-month-old Shepherd, whose mom is his spouse Audra Mari - and he's keen to have a third child, which he'd particularly like to be a girl

Praising Audra, 31, as a "great mom", he told People magazine: "She's a great role model, and hopefully we have another one. Hopefully a girl, maybe another boy. We'll see."

The Off the Grid star cherishes every minute of parenthood.

He gushed: "There's always something new.

"I just love being a dad. I love every single milestone."

Josh delights in his sons' unique personalities and takes pride in their different interests.

He said: "My wife's father is a big car guy and a collector of cars, and I think that Shepherd is very much like his grandfather.

"He just loves cars, ... and all he wants to do is get up in the seat and just pretend like he's driving. Even if it's a little tricycle, he wants to get in there and pretend.

"[Axl] doesn't really care so much [about cars]. He's more about soccer and basketball stats.

"But that's the beauty of genetics. They all come out a little bit different."

The Transformers actor previously admitted he got "very lucky" when he met Audra, who he married in 2022 after three years together.

He told People: "I got very lucky. I met an amazing woman, who just has all the things you look for in a woman.

"She really is just amazing. She's a great mom, she's a great role model... and I feel very lucky to have somebody that I get to share (life) with."

Josh recalled how his romance with the model began while appearing as a guest on Live with Kelly and Mark in 2023.

The father-of-two said he slid into her DMs after she'd "won some pageants and stuff" in North Dakota.

He added: "I invited her over to a barbecue one weekend, and she came, and I was like, 'Wow, you're beautiful'."

He then admitted he didn't think a romance was in the cards due to the pair's age difference.

Josh went on: "We started dating, and you know, here we are.

"She's a pretty amazing girl, she really is."
