Bethenny Frankel used to date Jennifer Aniston's new boyfriend Jim Curtis

The Real Housewives of New York City star has claimed she has history with the hypnotherapist and life coach - who has been linked to the 56-year-old actress over the summer - but insisted she won't be giving too many details "out of respect" for his relationship with the Friends star

Revealing they dated "maybe 10 years ago", she said on the Just B with Bethenny Frankel podcast: "I'm happy for her, and I want to say this in the right way.

"His name is Jim Curtis, and he's getting a lot of attention because he's with her now and he's in like the wellness space."

Jim's official website says he's been working in health and wellness for over two decades, but Bethenny admitted they "didn't get that into" his line of work because she doesn't take it too seriously.

She explained: "He was earlier in his journey. But with that and with the wellness aspect, there was an earthiness to it, and it does vibe with Jen Aniston.

"I'm happy for Jennifer Aniston because I do believe she wants to find love.

"I do believe it's been difficult, as I understand as well as anybody can, and I do believe she's sort of got that earthy, mellow side to her."

The 54-year-old reality star is "betting" on Jennifer and Jim's romance given her "institutional knowledge" of him, describing him as "a handsome, nice man" who "seems kind".

She said: "I think this is good. I like it, and I'm happy for her and him, who, like I said, I thought was a lovely man."

Jennifer and Jim are believed to have started casually dating a few months ago and friends say she is very happy with him.

A source previously told PEOPLE in July: "They've been seeing each other for a few months now. They were introduced by a friend and started out as friends.

"Jen had read his book and was familiar with his work. She's really into self-help and wellness. They are dating, but it's still casual.

"She's been happy on her own, but she's also open to sharing her life with someone. As long as it feels right. Jen's in a very good place right now - grounded, fulfilled and very happy.

"He's very different from anyone she's dated before."
