Heidi Klum has cancelled her annual Halloween party due to the coronavirus pandemic

The 47-year-old model has been throwing lavish Halloween bashes every year since 2000, but sources have confirmed there won’t be a special event taking place this year, out of concerns over the ongoing global health crisis

An insider said: “Heidi isn’t doing her Halloween party this year due to everything going on [in the world].”

And although the pandemic has ruined Heidi’s Halloween plans, the crisis has reportedly been beneficial to her marriage with Tom Kaulitz.

The source added to Us Weekly magazine: “Heidi and Tom are super happy and in love, and the quarantine has made them even closer. They’re enjoying married life and are a perfect match.”

Heidi’s spooky parties are usually attended by an abundance of A-listers over the years, including Mariah Carey and Neil Patrick Harris.

And the model is known for using her parties to debut some amazing costumes, including 2019’s outfit, when she went dressed as a flesh-eating alien alongside her 31-year-old spouse, who accompanied her as the bloody astronaut who she feasted on.

In 2018, Heidi and Tom dressed as ‘Shrek’ characters Shrek and Fiona, whilst solo costumes for the model have included the werewolf from Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ music video and Jessica Rabbit from ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’.

Speaking about her costumes in 2018, Heidi said: “By me doing crazy, elaborate outfits as the host, my hope had always been that all my guests would follow. And it’s worked because over the years, people have become increasingly more outrageous with their costumes. The party has become almost legendary. It’s epic. I feel like my love for Halloween has made other people fall in love with the holiday too.”
