Brenda Song sometimes forgets to "take care of [herself]"

The 37-year-old actress - who has Carson, two, and Dakota, three, with actor Macaulay Culkin - has admitted that she sometimes forgets to take of her own needs because she has "so much on [her] plate"

The movie star - who began dating Macaulay back in 2017 - told People: "As moms, you are running around all the time.

"You have so much on your plate, even when you don't realise it, just because your kids. I mean, these little people depend on you, [and] you do everything for them. And you forget to sometimes take care of yourself."

By contrast, Brenda is looking forward to being the centre of attention on Mother's Day (11.05.25).

The actress explained: "That's what I really love about a day like Mother's Day, where it's just you take a second to just take a deep breath. And you know what? We deserve a little bit of appreciation. Moms do a lot."

Brenda also revealed that parenthood has given her an even deeper appreciation of her own mom.

She said: "I look at my mom and I'm like, 'I don't know how she does it'. I remember, two weeks after having my first son, I looked at my mom and I was like, 'Mom, I'm so sorry for anything I've ever done to upset you or hurt you or anything.'"

Meanwhile, Brenda recently claimed that she's "had to hustle" to become a success in Hollywood.

The actress - who was born in California to Thai parents - feels she's had to overcome the odds in order to become a success in the movie business.

Brenda - who actually began her career at the age of six, working as a child model - told Cosmopolitan: "I've had to hustle my entire life being an Asian American actress in Hollywood. I've just always had to be very proactive."

Macaulay also credited the actress for helping him to navigate the stresses and strains of fame.

The 44-year-old movie star - who was one of the most successful child actors of the 90s - told Brenda: "You're my champion, the only person happier for me today than I am.

"You're not only the best woman I've ever known, you're the best person I've ever known. You've given me all my purpose."
