Andrea Bocelli's son Matteo will perform at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding

The 27-year-old star has followed his iconic tenor father's footsteps and launched his own career as a singer, and he'll be entertaining guests at the Amazon founder's marriage ceremony in Venice, Italy

A source told PEOPLE magazine that Matteo will be at the star-studded event to perform on the day.

Meanwhile, Matteo will be releasing his new album Falling In Love on September 12, and hitting the road for a world tour later this year.

Bezos and Sanchez's three-day nuptials are set to be attended by A-listers including reality star Kim Kardashian, talk show host Gayle King and Microsoft boss Bill Gates.

The wedding was reportedly forced to move locations within Venice after protestors threatened to prevent guests from arriving by blocking the Italian city's canals with inflatable crocodiles.

Instead, the bash has been switched to a more secure location after various groups joined forces under the 'No Space for Bezos' banner to protest against the lavish ceremony that they claim epitomises how Venice has lost its soul to tourism.

Protestor Tommaso Cacciari is quoted by The Times newspaper as saying: "Bezos is on the run - this is a crazy victory for a small group of people with no money who went up against one of the richest men on the planet."

Matteo's performance at the nuptials comes after his famous dad Andrea previously sang at Kim and Kourtney Kardashian's respective weddings to Kanye West and Travis Barker.

He previously admitted he got "big satisfaction" from being asked to be part of such special days for everyone involved.

He told US TV show Extra: "If they choose your voice for their wedding, it's a beautiful thing. I think it's a big satisfaction for me."

After the siblings rowed over their decision to have similar singers for their big days, Andrea himself quipped that he was "flattered" to be so "loved" by the sisters as he gave his son a shoutout.

In a post on Instagram, he wrote: "Dear @kimkardashian and @kourtneykardash. I'm so flattered that you both love my voice and I'll always be happy to sing for you.

"But know that there's a younger and far more helpful artist @matteobocelli who your mother @krisjenner also knows very well."
