Perrie Edwards is pregnant with her second child with her footballer fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

The Little Mix singer, 32, who found fame on The X Factor in 2011, shared the news in a short video on Instagram released on Saturday (06.09.25) featuring her hugging her partner before her four-year-old son Axel kisses her baby bump

Perrie and 32-year-old Alex, who began dating in 2016 and became engaged in 2022, welcomed Axel on 21 August 2021.

In her black-and-white pregnancy reveal clip, Perrie wore a white T-shirt emblazoned with the words "If He Wanted To He Would" - the title of her recent single - before she turned to her front and showed off her growing baby bump.

She captioned the clip: "Guess what hunnies... ."

Messages of congratulations quickly appeared from friends and fans, but the announcement also followed a candid account Perrie gave of her past experiences with pregnancy loss.

Speaking on Paul C Brunson's We Need To Talk podcast earlier this year, she described two miscarriages before and after the birth of Axel.

Perrie said: "So I had a miscarriage very early on with my first ever pregnancy, and it was so early. I remember finding out I was pregnant.

"Obviously, I started bleeding not long after, and I went to the hospital and I had the scan and they were like, 'There's no baby'."

She recalled feeling alone at her appointments over her pregnancy, adding: "I was like, 'Oh, I've made this up. Maybe I got a false positive or something'.

"And I remember being on my own at the appointments because nobody was there."

Perrie explained she also felt anxious throughout her pregnancy with Axel:

She said: "I just wanted to get past the 12-week scan. And when I got past every scan, that pregnancy was complete bliss, it was perfect."

But she later endured another loss.

She added: "We fell pregnant again after... Axel wasn't even walking yet and we were pregnant.

"And then we went for what was a 20-week scan, but we were actually 22 weeks, and that was just the worst day of my life. Like, horrendous."

Reflecting on her relationship with Alex, Perrie credited his calm nature with helping her recover from earlier difficulties.

She said: "He's very mature. He's very laid back. He's very level-headed. He's not the type to get mad or get angry or get funny about things."
