Anya Chalotra found working with Liam Hemsworth on The Witcher to be "really easy"

The 35-year-old actor has replaced Henry Cavill as the lead on the fantasy drama show, and Anya has relished the experience of working with Liam, observing that he "understands this world".

Speaking to the Guardian newspaper, Anya explained: "We didn't want to be too intense!

"We just wanted to make space for Liam. He understands people. He understands this world. He was able to come in so naturally. It was really easy."

Henry's decision to leave the show caused fans to speculate about the long-term future of The Witcher. However, Anya was always confident that the show would continue.

The actress said: "I think I always knew we'd all continue. With the love for the material, we knew that it was going to go again. I was excited to see where Yennefer went, that's for sure."

Meanwhile, Liam recently revealed that he "jumped off social media" after he was announced as Henry Cavill's replacement in The Witcher.

The actor was confirmed as Henry's replacement on the hit TV show back in 2022, but Liam was initially overwhelmed by the reaction and decided to take a break from social media at the time.

Liam - who has replaced Henry as Geralt of Rivia - told Entertainment Weekly: "There was quite a bit of noise and I had to put that aside. It started to become a distraction.

"I dealt with that sort of thing in the past a lot and, you know, at the end of the day, I love making movies and I love telling stories and acting. I just don't want any of that to affect my way of telling the story that I'm trying to tell. I jumped off social media and the internet most of last year."

Liam still recalls being caught completely off-guard by the opportunity.

He shared: "It came out of nowhere. I was as surprised as anyone."
