A 31-year-old man's been charged with manslaughter - over the death of Rotorua deaf and blind man Paige Johnson

He died in a hit and run on Edmund Road 10 days ago.

It's alleged the motorcyclist hit the 24-year-old brain cancer survivor on a pedestrian crossing, after overtaking a stopped car - then U-turned to drive past him lying on the road.

A Hamilton man will appear in court tomorrow charged with manslaughter, failing to stop to ascertain injury or death and driving while disqualified.
