    Two major roads in the lower North Island are closed following serious crashes


    Part of Pahiatua Aokautere Road in the Tararua District will remain closed for some time, after a truck rolled down a bank.

    Paekakariki Hill Road is also closed between State Highway 1 and Grays Road, after two vehicles collided.

    Two people were injured in the crash.
