    Six people have lost their lives on our roads over the Christmas holiday period..


    The first was a pedestrian who died in Blenheim on December 27.

    The next day, a person died after rolling their car at Kaitoke, near Whanganui.

    On December 29, a 30-year-old woman died after crashing her car into a pole in Nelson.

    A day later, a person died on State Highway 3 near Piopio.

    This year, one person's died after a crash in Wellsford and another near Winton.

    Brake NZ director, Caroline Perry says any loss of life is one too many.

    The Christmas/New Year road toll period began at 4PM on December 24 and has just come to an end
