Christchurch's 290 million dollar Northern Corridor motorway opening has been delayed until the end of the year

It was scheduled for the middle of this year but the Transport Agency says it needs more time.
It puts the delay down to the addition of a third southbound lane on the Waimakariri River bridge - and a clip on cycle way.
NZTA says they expect to open the motorway just before Christmas.
