Queenstown's town centre makeover starts today, and motorists are warned to expect disruption

Queenstown's town centre makeover starts today, and motorists are warned to expect disruption

The Ballarat carpark is being closed so workers can set it up as a base for the first stage of a new road to bypass the busy centre.

District Council Property Manager Peter Hansby says the reduced parking and road closures will be challenging, but eventually worth it.

He says the scale of the construction programme means large areas are needed for materials and equipment.
