    Sunday's sun is rapidly fading in Canterbury, with a Severe Thunderstorm Warning now in force for the Hurunui and Waimakariri Districts


    MetService warns the wet weather currently covers Ashley Forest and is also nearing Hanmer Springs and Culverden.

    It's expected to bring heavy rain and hail.

    A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in force for Christchurch, Canterbury Plains and Canterbury High Country.
