Upgrades to streets around Christchurch's new Te Kaha stadium are six-months ahead of schedule

The first stage of work on water and roads around One New Zealand Stadium, started in July.

City Council City Infrastructure Manager, Brent Smith, says about 100 contractors are on site each day, and working weekends and sequencing jobs to save time.

Works will start to wrap up from May, with minor touches like line-marking, landscaping, and streetlights continuing into spring.
