    More unsettled weather is rolling through as Ex-Cyclone Tam continues to be felt


    MetService says a line of thunderstorms producing localised heavy rain is expected to develop over southern Northland and Auckland early this afternoon.

    Energy companies are continuing to make process restoring power in Auckland and Northland.

    While heavy rain warnings are in place for Tasman - northwest of Motueka as well as Taranaki Mounga.

    Motueka Ward Councillor Brent Maru says it's been hard to keep up with the changing forecasts.

    He says the weather has been very up and down - with heavy rainfall for short periods.

    The top and west coast of the South Island are under a heavy rain watch.
