It's thought Hutt Hospital's earthquake prone rating speaks to nationwide infrastructure issues

It's thought Hutt Hospital's earthquake prone rating speaks to nationwide infrastructure issues

The hospital 's Heretaunga Block, which holds almost 80 percent of the facility's beds, has been deemed unsafe in a quake.

The DHB is planning to relocate services ... but there's no word yet on if it will be fixed.

Association of Salaried Medical Specialists Executive Director Sarah Dalton says they're increasingly aware of hospitals facing similar issues.

She says given the state of hospital premises around the country there's a factor of inevitability in this news.
