A young Motueka family's lost their home to severe flooding in Tasman's Motueka Valley

A young Motueka family's lost their home to severe flooding in Tasman's Motueka Valley

More than 300 millimetres of rain fell across the Upper South Island between Friday and Sunday, with more expected in the coming days.

Tasman, Nelson and Marlborough remain under local states of emergency.

Blue Malossa's tiny home moved 400 metres from where it originally sat, and says it's shocking to see it completely damaged.

She says there wasn't a lot of warning for residents to prepare, but then, you never think it's going to happen to you.
