    Thousands of people today felt one of the strongest earthquakes to hit Australia amid warnings of aftershocks



    Almost 15,000 people have reported sensing the tremor, which struck Queensland this morning.

    Geoscience Australia registered the 5.6 magnitude quake at a depth of 10km.
