A six-point-nine magnitude quake has struck off the coast of central Philippines

A six-point-nine magnitude quake has struck off the coast of central Philippines

It hit about 3am, damaging infrastructure and knocking out power in parts of the region.

The number of potential casualties and missing people are unknown as rescue attempts have been slowed by a lack of light, and four aftershocks of at least a five magnitude.

A local rescue worker says there could be people trapped beneath collapsed buildings.
