    Who will win the sportsman and woman of the year awards at the 56th Halberg awards tonight?


    Shot putter Tom Walsh should be slight favourite to claim the sportsman gong, after winning gold at the Commonwealth Games and the world indoor and Diamond League honours.

    Motorsport exponents Scott Dixon and Scott McLaughlin are the other finalists, along with young free-skiier Nico Porteous.

    The sportswoman finalists are Jonelle Price for Badminton triumph, Zoi Sadowski-Synnott's Winter Games bronze, Lisa Carrington for her four world champs medals and Joelle King following her three Commonwealth Games medals.
